UAB Brain Tumor Developmental Research Program
The UAB Brain Tumor SPORE grant (P50 CA 097247) offers up to 3 Developmental Research Awards annually to support 1- or 2-year projects that seek to develop preliminary data to support a larger grant application to an extramural funding agency. The primary focus of the research is translational, and may include preclinical investigations for any therapeutic agent, diagnostic test, epidemiologic study, biomarker development for detection, or correlative biologic study. Since initiation of funding in September 2002, the UAB Brain Tumor SPORE has awarded 12 Developmental Research Grants. A brief description of each funded project follows:
